My Friends,

We had an outage yesterday for several hours. I am trying to find out what went wrong, all I can find out is: third party hardware failure.

I will keep investigating.

Apologies for the down time!

Hi Chris

Here in Canada the net was slow at certain times of the day,

maybe between some countries even more.

Yes, i kind of freaked out myself last night when i tried to come here. at first i thought it was my browser or even Comcast as they screw with me all the time.

maybe it is a power bug from our Government, who knows. Microsoft broadcast every loop hole and back door as does our Government to the world.

well now that we are back from the twilight zone i am just glad it was a glitch not equipment failure.

Hi Chris

I am directly connected to the cable of my DSL connection (no wifi)

and I work with a second PC where all my work is found, this one never goes on the net,

can be simplistic but effective.

Completely unexplainable!

ISP can not explain what's going on! From connected and operational to disconnected and no sign of any fault. Second time in so many hours...

Some high level emergency shutdown procedure deployed by a secret agency? Perhaps I am being very suspicious, perhaps not also.

Lets be honest, we have eliminated the first line of defence: Trolls

Next line of defence, if I were in charge, is: Nube Hackers

Next line of defence, if I were in charge, is: Elite Hackers

Next line of defence would have to be: Shutdown

This is super frustrating, however, we will prevail!

Lots of issues with different sites tonight. Just regained access here a few minutes ago. I think the concerns you raised are plausible, but without proof its probably not something to dwell on. Presumably if someone's post got deleted after some strange downtime they would mention it and that might be an indication to look deeper.

Some very serious issues across the board! 8.7 Hours of down time.

Up, down, Up, Down, I have been through my Hardware with a very fine tooth comb, nothing found.

We definitely are subject to some very, very strange phenomena!

Perhaps something to do with Obama giving complete Internet control to a third party company?

Damn pain it is! Some data here is critical, save, print, share, just incase we don't come back up at all!

My Friends,

My Router has been breached, checking my PC's, currently they look ok.

I believe a small device has been placed, or a very smart neighbor has been able to hack my Router.

Hey Jagau,

I agree, backup's offline, take your important data to a place safe from as much as you can. In a safe, to your parents in law, to your grandma, store your data in a safe place!

My Friends,

More down time...

An hour and a half, back up for a short bit then down again. Currently no reported issues, but the ISP can see we have been down for some time. They are investigating.

Re the 24th, there was an infrastructure problem. 12bn spent on new infrastructure in Australia in recent years and I get the one faulty one.

My Friends,

To give you some idea of our situation:

Australia has just put in NBN ( National Broadband Network ) - It came in at more than twice the initial budget. where I stated 11bn above, well, the real figures are way more, that was a bad guess:

The project cost jumped from the Liberal Party's estimated $29.5 billion before the 2013 federal election, to $46-56 billion afterwards. In 2016 NBN Co. said it was on target for $49 billion, but by late 2018 the estimated final cost was $51 billion.

So, we should have, all the latest, brand new Hardware and Cabling. There should be nothing but reliability. I have worked in this field for several decades, and have a pretty good idea on it. From time to time out of the box, some items are faulty. Maybe one in a thousand these days.

So we should be pretty reliable, however, yesterday, we saw 8.7 hours of down time. My ISP, I have been with them for around 20 years now, is fantastic ( Onthenet ), their support is first class and their tier 2 and 3 tech is some of the best I have had the pleasure of meeting.

They could not find a problem, still instigating today, the 28th, for the days down time on the 27th.

I want to send an apology to all, I expect reliability, so I am sorry for this!

What I am sharing right now is critical information, I expect intervention of sorts, to try to stop us!

My Friends,

More down time this morning, from 7 : 45 to 8 : 25 EST

An interesting note, random speed tests show odd activity, my up load speeds, the speed at which you receive pages, was in the 100's Kbps region, normally they should be very much higher!

This is possibly a Hackers trick to flood the modem with ICMP Packets, or something. I have ICMP turned off on the modem, so we don't have any Ping Reply. DOS Attacks should be avoided, however I could be wrong, maybe there is another way they attack ports. Currently not seeing this in the logs... Still investigating...

All phishing attempts are avoided with high tech software filtering.

Most definitely, we have problems, I am getting reports of all sorts of probes and scans, even if half are false positives.

Some unhappy Super Numpty's out there!

   Chris

EDIT: This morning, attacks appear to have stopped. Wait, spoke too soon, attempting to gain access to my VOIP Port. One thing is for sure, an Elite Hacker would be in and I would not even know, so who ever this is, is a Nube! The Goon Squad I would say, we have Eliminated Trolls, they need a new job, Nube Hacking ...

What is a Scalar:

In physics, scalars are physical quantities that are unaffected by changes to a vector space basis. Scalars are often accompanied by units of measurement, as in "10 cm". Examples of scalar quantities are mass, distance, charge, volume, time, speed, and the magnitude of physical vectors in general.

You need to forget the Non-Sense that some spout with out knowing the actual Definition of the word Scalar! Some people talk absolute Bull Sh*t!

The pressure P in the formula P = pgh, pgh is a scalar that tells you the amount of this squashing force per unit area in a fluid.

A Scalar, having both direction and magnitude, can be anything! The Magnetic Field, a Charge moving, yet some Numb Nuts think it means Magic Science!

The great Nikola Tesla:

Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe. This idea is not novel. Men have been led to it long ago by instinct or reason. It has been expressed in many ways, and in many places, in the history of old and new. We find it in the delightful myth of Antheus, who drives power from the earth; we find it among the subtle speculations of one of your splendid mathematicians, and in many hints and statements of thinkers of the present time. Throughout space there is energy. Is this energy static or kinetic? If static, our hopes are in vain; if kinetic - and this we know it is for certain - then it is a mere question of time when men will succeed in attaching their machinery to the very wheelwork of nature.
