Crashing my Chrome browser - failure message

I don't know what's going on, but this website is crashing my Chrome browser. Only this site and no others. When I visit this website, YouTube is not running simultaneously. To browse the internet normally, I have to close and reopen Chrome. Does anyone have a problem with this particular page? The page seems to be loading all the time and then displays a failure message.

Everything is back to normal now.

Hello Grzegorz,

No, I do not have any trouble, is anyone else? No one else has reported problems!

Of course, YouTube is a Third Party and I have no control over the Speed at which they decide to load Video Frames.

Do you click on the link: 'Latest By' to open the page/thread? If you do, this loads the entire thread, and on big threads, it can be somewhat slow, on slow internet connections.

Long Threads do take time to load, yes. Your Browser uses your Computer RAM, Random Access Memory, when loading the Page,

and on Big Threads:

and if you are loading the entire thread, and on long threads like that thread, and if your Internet Connection is not fast enough, there can be some delays or even crashes if Chrome is expecting something to load when it does not.

Try to avoid posting off topic posts on Big Threads is a good idea! That Thread was Read only and I reopened the thread on request. All large threads should be locked and Read Only in my opinion.

Make sure you have lots of RAM installed, its cheap, so the more the better these days, 8Gb or more, 16Gb is about where I think most PC's / Laptops should be these days. I have 32Gb RAM currently.

Update your version of Chrome: Here is the latest version.

Check your internet connection, run a speed test, to see if you're having any bandwidth problems. Here is mine, in a WiFi Connection.

If you're still having trouble, maybe worth getting your computer checked by a Technician.

I hope this helps!

Best Wishes,

   Chris

Hey,

I did have some issues yesterday.

The browser would get stuck trying to load YouTube embedded. Brave browser for me though, my Chrome had worked fine. In the end a pending browser update was the issue. Updated, problem gone.

I did a speed test and everything is fine.

It is possible that the limitation is too little RAM in the laptop. I will check today on another computer, I have 16GB RAM there.

Hey Grzegorz,

Your Question:

It is possible that the limitation is too little RAM in the laptop.

Yes, it is, and it is actually a common issue. Laptops used to commonly come factory 2Gb or similar, and today, as you saw, one Chrome Tab was more than 2Gb.

It is a common issue.

Ram for a laptop:

and Ram for a Desktop:

Is normally very cheap, but make sure you get the right specifications for your hardware.

Ram has many different types, many different speeds and sizes. So you need to check the specifications for your hardware to see what is supported. Or, its possible to purchase the wrong Ram and your PC / Laptop will have issues, Blue Screen or something like that. Sometimes it wont even boot at all with the Wrong Ram.

Make sure you abide by ESD Rules!

What is Ram used for?

Ram is equivalent to your Short term Memory. Your Ram has information loaded into it, typically from your Hard Drive, and your CPU Processes this information from Ram.

As seen in the prior post, as you open things up on your computer, the necessary information is stored in Ram, Memory, ready to be processed by the CPU, Central Processing Unit.

Ram is Volatile, and when your PC is turned off, what's stored in Ram, is either saved back to your Hard Drive, or Dumped.

Ram is much faster to access than a Hard Drive, typically. Your Hard Drive is equivalent to your Long Term memory, it is not Volatile, or not supposed to be!

Best Wishes,

   Chris

Chris, sorry for the confusion. Delete this post. It's more of a problem with my laptop. Everything works fine on the desktop computer. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Grzegorz,

Your question / problem is an important problem.

I will delete if you wish, but I do think this could be helpful for others? Not many people know much about Computers, I think this thread may assist in the understanding of loading stuff onto the PC and having enough Resources to do so.

Please confirm and I will abide by your wishes, let me know.

Thanks and Best Wishes,

Another possible solution to this issue..

I started seeing this issue again with my Brave browser only. I found on some forum that the issue was outdated browser components. The individual was seeing this issue with Chrome.

The answer, which seems to have worked for me this time, is updating the components.

For Chrome, URL bar enter chrome://components/

For Brave, URL bar enter brave://components/

You should see around 20, all with "Check for update" buttons. Make sure they are all up to date. Maybe a browser restart is necissary.

Hope this helps.

Marcel

Edit: I believe these components are supposed to update themselves, but for one reason or another sometimes they don't.

Or not 😂

Now my Brave browser is fine, but my Chromium browser started doing the same thing. And the chrome://components trick is not helping. And I have plenty of memory in my laptop. Interesting.

I'll post again if I find something else.

Thank you for your kind and factual advice. Z updates the Chrome browser and its add-ons.

What is a Scalar:

In physics, scalars are physical quantities that are unaffected by changes to a vector space basis. Scalars are often accompanied by units of measurement, as in "10 cm". Examples of scalar quantities are mass, distance, charge, volume, time, speed, and the magnitude of physical vectors in general.

You need to forget the Non-Sense that some spout with out knowing the actual Definition of the word Scalar! Some people talk absolute Bull Sh*t!

The pressure P in the formula P = pgh, pgh is a scalar that tells you the amount of this squashing force per unit area in a fluid.

A Scalar, having both direction and magnitude, can be anything! The Magnetic Field, a Charge moving, yet some Numb Nuts think it means Magic Science!

The great Nikola Tesla:

Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe. This idea is not novel. Men have been led to it long ago by instinct or reason. It has been expressed in many ways, and in many places, in the history of old and new. We find it in the delightful myth of Antheus, who drives power from the earth; we find it among the subtle speculations of one of your splendid mathematicians, and in many hints and statements of thinkers of the present time. Throughout space there is energy. Is this energy static or kinetic? If static, our hopes are in vain; if kinetic - and this we know it is for certain - then it is a mere question of time when men will succeed in attaching their machinery to the very wheelwork of nature.
