NOOB Hoping to Replicate Chris's Bucking Coils

Hi Everyone

 

I am new here and also new to electronics/electrical systems. I am a retired software engineer

 

Very excited to have been reading and following many of the threads here and excited to get started.

Hopefully, I won't be a disaster.

Today, I received the boards that I ordered from china and waiting on some parts.

Also, I received a couple of AMCC320 and 3D printing some coils to start winding.

Any suggestion or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

My equipment consists of a DC power supply, an AC power supply, various multimeters, LCR meter, oscilloscope and signal generator. 

 

I will be trying to find the measurement block info, so I can hopefully build a few. 

 

I have extra QUADRATRON boards IF ANYONE NEEDS IT.

it will be free from me, you just pay shipping. The difference between ordering 1 from china or ordering 10 was not that much.

I will try to post a picture, but it is exactly as Chris designed.

We here at aboveunity.com will always try to help! You will do fine! We will always give you the best advice we can.

If I may:

  • Try to avoid Rabbit Holes and stick to the outline given.
  • Think Simple, force your mind not to over complicate this.
  • Once understood, this is totally Intuitive, up to this point it is Unintuitive!

 

We have many threads here, some say too many to read now. Sadly, we do have a growth problem that is hard for people to catch up, but fear not, we will always try to help.

Real quick and short:

  • POC = approx 200 turns 0.8mm to 1mm each.
  • Input Coil 30 Turns 1.6mm or so.
  • Input, High Side, 10% Duty Cycle, around 3Khz.

I recommend, start by replicating my series: Chris's Non-Inductive Coil Experiment, and if you have a good grasp on coils and so on, go right to Video Seven and replicate that. Then refer back to the above thread to answer Questions.

If you build, please share your progress, it is so much easier for us to help, other wise we are just guessing. Please see: Help with using the Forum for help uploading Images and Videos.

Hello Forushani,

I am very pleased you got them working. Seems you followed advice and solved the issue. Nice to see!

I have released the Measurement Block: Here

Element14 has 0.1 Ohm metal Strip 5 Watt 1% Through Hole Resistors, check they will fit before purchasing.

Same rules apply, I am sorry, I just don't have the time to support these things. I will try, but please understand, what little time I do have, I must spend here supporting Coils and helping others progress with Coils and Power.

I am sorry, but we sort of expect others to have a basic Electronics background before starting. I say this, but we still do help others.

When Focus and attention is drawn away from the important stuff, that's when the important stuff gets over looked. I hope you understand.

Thanks for all your hard work and I know exactly what you are saying.

I am perfectly OK with your thinking and try hard not to impose. Time is very limited and everyone has to take care of work, family, pay bills and do this extra stuff as an aside. I am late to the party but have every intention of following your lead. Hopefully, I can make a contribution somewhere along the way.

Again, no expectations on my part but advice is always appreciated.

My Friend, We will try to help, always! Just saying we must focus on the most important thing, Power and Coils, the Magnetic Fields that do Work.

Some of us here, are very far along, and, we do worry about others catching up. But that's why we have taken the time to build this AWESOME Community! All here will try to help!

Aboveunity.com Members are so far advanced, we see other forums as the kindergarten of toddlers, and wish they would pick up the ball and move forward, alas they don't seem to!

In saying this, those that come, searching for more, these people, are waking up to Reality and want more, we will help! We will share! We will guide and respect others!

My advice is, start small, get a feel for what we are sharing, slowly build on this, and move forward making sure you understand what we are sharing!

Now that I got my Quadratron boards and Measurement blocks ready, I am going to start some experiments.

 

I have pretty much got all the basic stuff out of the way, so I can proceed.

 

 

By the way, can somebody tell me if this resistor that I got for the measurement block would work. It's the only one I could find. Thanks

My Friend, well done! Its a big job getting all this done!

If I may, remember: "Little steps for little feet" - Sir Richard Feynman.

Take your time, do little bits at a time! I tried to show in my series: Chris's Non-Inductive Coil Experiment the importance of Diakoptics.

Breaking things down to the smallest possible piece! At this stage, you will be able to understand more accurately the picture looking at! Simply because, then, you can add the solved pieces of the puzzle back together and observe the entire picture with a Complete Understanding.

Understanding is critical! Make sure you understand every little bit, try to understand the Coils and what's occurring as Time t passes, tic, tic, tic, sort of thing. While this is occurring, each Wire has an Effect exerted on it! Symmetrically and also Asymmetrically so keep your mind open!

Observe the threads we have given, copy what we have shared and Succeed you will!

I wanted to make sure all the basics are ready.

I am 3d printing my coils and will start winding coils tomorrow. 

I will follow  and try to duplicate your experiments as diligently as I can. I ha e invested all my time and retirement funds on this.

What is a Scalar:

In physics, scalars are physical quantities that are unaffected by changes to a vector space basis. Scalars are often accompanied by units of measurement, as in "10 cm". Examples of scalar quantities are mass, distance, charge, volume, time, speed, and the magnitude of physical vectors in general.

You need to forget the Non-Sense that some spout with out knowing the actual Definition of the word Scalar! Some people talk absolute Bull Sh*t!

The pressure P in the formula P = pgh, pgh is a scalar that tells you the amount of this squashing force per unit area in a fluid.

A Scalar, having both direction and magnitude, can be anything! The Magnetic Field, a Charge moving, yet some Numb Nuts think it means Magic Science!
