The Cycle of the Ages

This thread is a little off Topic, but for motivational purposes. I also know some here are very interested in these things.

The Cycle of the Ages is well known! Many Ancient Peoples have immense knowledge of the Ages and the Cycles we go through on a regular basis! The following video is a very educational view if you are interested:

I have studied the pages: Part 1: Unraveling the Yuga Cycle Timeline, and Part 2: The archaeological and historical evidence. Great reads if you are interested!

We have all heard of the Ages:

• Golden Age.
• Silver Age.
• Bronze Age.
• Iron Age, no the Stone Age is not part of this Calendar.

This is all linked together, ages are known in the Indian, Mayan, Greek and the Chaldean's, as well as many more! Some here have heard of the Yuga's?

The Yuga's are seen above. Listed here again:

• Satya Yuga.
• Treta Yuga.
• Dwapara Yuga.
• Kali Yuga.

The Yuga Cycle doctrine tells us that we are now living in the Kali Yuga; the age of darkness, when moral virtue and mental capabilities reach their lowest point in the cycle. The Indian epic The Mahabharata describes the Kali Yuga as the period when the "World Soul" is Black in hue; only one quarter of virtue remains, which slowly dwindles to zero at the end of the Kali Yuga. Men turn to wickedness; disease, lethargy, anger, natural calamities, anguish and fear of scarcity dominate. Penance, sacrifices and religious observances fall into disuse. All creatures degenerate. Change passes over all things, without exception.

There is great debate where the Arrow points. Many don't really know for sure where we are exactly, we know we are close to the End of an Age and the Start of a New Age! Some say we are still in the Kali Yuga, some say its about to End.

We are living in the Kali Yuga today according to my research. It is said, the Kali Yuga ends in 2025. Quite literally, we are at the End of an Age!

From my research, the Mayan Calendar is almost identical in its format and dates:

Something you will notice, is the continued use of and display of the 12 Signs of the Zodiac. Star Constellations:

• Aries,
• Taurus,
• Gemini,
• Cancer,
• Leo,
• Virgo,
• Libra,
• Scorpio,
• Sagittarius,
• Capricorn,
• Aquarius,
• and Pisces. We are in Pisces Today, moving into Aquarius.

NOTE: It is confusing, because there are at least 2 different ways to view or read the charts! The above images show inconsistencies, if you don't know about the different methods to view the charts. From my understanding, this is to do with the Autumnal Equinox and the Vernal Equinox.

The Vernal Equinox

Today, we mostly use the Vernal Equinox. The Vernal Equinox represents the Sun crossing the celestial equator going North. In the Northern Hemisphere, the (Spring) Vernal Equinox marks the first day of astronomical spring. In the Northern Hemisphere the vernal equinox falls about March 20 or 21, as the Sun crosses the celestial equator going north. In the Southern Hemisphere the equinox occurs on September 21 or 23.

The Autumnal Equinox

The Ancients used the Autumnal Equinox. The (fall) autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere is in September 21 to 23. Occasionally it can also fall on September 21 or 24. In the Southern Hemisphere the equinox occurs on March 20 or 21, when the Sun moves north across the celestial equator.

In my novice opinion, measuring, or observing the ages, would make a big difference depending on what Equinox is used! I would like to learn more about this, it interests me!

We have, recently, 2012, the Mayan Calendar was spot on, had an event: The Galactic Alignment:

We will still have Bad Time but we will also still have Good Times! We are in a Binary Star System:

What we do today, will make tomorrow different! We have the power to make things change and now is a good time to make for Change!

It was celebrated, by Astrologists, the End of the Age of Taurus:

The Bull represents Taurus. The End of the Age of Taurus, was nearing the depth, or the Kali Yuga. We would soon start Ascending up the Great Year Cycle and Humanity's Evolution would soon begin to increase. This was what the Ancients saw in the night sky:

The point of this thread, is to give others Hope, to show we are moving into a Golden Age, it wont be here for some time, but its coming and as we approach, we can have hope and excitement as we Ascend to a higher Consciousness! We can make change, we have the power to Change and bring forth Change!

There's no denying that the human horizon seems dark, if we remain in the mindsets we have today. However, the individual never has to be caught in any age. Just as the world has its cycles, we have our individual karma and path. We can seek the peace within and use the degenerative nature of the world around us as part of our practice, building our strength and compassion.
