I'm writting this message here NOT because I want to troll this forum after being banned, but because I just want to say the truth. Yesterday I was banned (Truthfan) and I want to apologize to everybody if my actions caused trouble. It was not my intention, far from it.

Chris was right in ONLY one thing in his announcement about me. I did try to download the web page backup from different adresses on several occasions. But not for a reason he stated, that I was trolling, cutting sites bandwidth but for three different reasons:

  1. I have old windows xp on my laptop that doesn't open web pages at all or opens them very slowly which makes it very difficult to navigate the site

  2. After looking at forum that has tone of info and needs a long time study I wanted to have some backup in case something happens with the site

    1. The download speed was to slow on my laptop so I tried to download from my phone( VPN was left on after browsing web) , sister's computer on other ISP, but it was still to slow so I aborted it after min, or two. Yesterday I tried for longer but the server aborted it by itself. I didn't download anything in the end. It seems like trolling but it wasn't.

I didn't think that it would cause such problems and missunderstanding if it was permited by the owner.

I know it is hard to believe anybody these days because there are real trolls out there but this was not the case. It's embarassing and upseting for me because it puts me in a category of people I despise. I had to say my side of the story so that the people can decide for themselves and maybe not jump to conclusions to fast in the future. I'm also sad because it makes me wonder can we as a society in global get out of matrix with such distrust and wounded mentality caused by the bad people. Best regards, Truthfan

I tried to download too, my internet is usually pretty good, I got a download speed of a few Kb per second, I have tried several times but i always get the same result, your not alone. 

If the backup could be transferred to another server like mega or google drive wouldn't that be a better way rather than a direct connection to a single server that could be on the other side of the planet? 

It sounds like you didn't deserve a ban for simply trying to download a backup.

It is really up to you to read the thread and abide by the rules!

Now I see a genuine member, yesterday I saw someone that appeared to be here to cause trouble, and we get a LOT of trouble makers!

It appears I made a mistake in this instance and it may have been an innocent mistake.

You only need One download a month, as the main and important content very rarely changes, 21 downloads in 5 days was very excessive!

I am happy to re-instate your account if you promise to be mindful and considerate for other members when it comes to large file downloads!

You are now Un-Banned! dont do it again please!

Hi, I wanna thank you for seing the truth and for unbanning me. I did read the rules and I never would have try to download so many times if I succeded the first time but I never did, just gave up after a minute or so seing download speed. I actually figured the server was under load so I tried to find better time but there is obviously none. But I'll manage without the download. Thanks

The same happened to me(Baron). I have used a download accelerator program to try and get the backup at reasonable speed and got banned for it, even though I had good intentions all the way.

All that traffic that Chris talked about is nonsense since the downloads  never finished, it was just an attempt to download faster.

You could have PM'd like Truthfan has and we could have sorted this out!

All Download Accelerators make multiple connections to the one file and attempt to download Chunks, separately, of the same file.

I don't take action on one or two, or even three connections per user.

Fair use is considered, to ensure EVERYONE has Bandwidth to Visit and Browse My Forum with ease.

People making 12 or 20 connections, using an Accelerator, use 12 or 20 times the bandwidth that a single connection makes, this is considered Un-Fair Use!

Here we see:

Is TRUE as I have shown clearly! 12 x Bandwidth or 20 x Bandwidth, so you can download a file faster, and no one else can use My Website! Here in lays the issue! I should not have to keep explaining this!

I have offered the Backup Download as a Courtesy Service!

I am starting to regret giving you access to such a Service!

It is Clear, it is being abused, and absolutely No Consideration is being given to Other Readers / Members! I will be reconsidering the future of this Service in the coming days!

i prefer building a circuit instead of downloading the whole site.

what someone need to get started is postet on frontpage.

chris guide and the research-section is necessary to have success.

What is a Scalar:
